'They have plans to sell me for N179b' – Osimhen urges Galatasaray to act fast amid Al-Hilal interest

Victor Osimhen has reportedly turned down a lucrative four-year offer from Saudi Arabian club Al-Hilal worth €160 million, opting instead to continue his career at Galatasaray.

The Napoli striker personally contacted Galatasaray's hierarchy to express his desire to join the Turkish Super Lig champions.

Osimhen has made it clear he wants to continue his career in Europe despite the astronomical wages offered by Al-Hilal.

In a phone call to Galatasaray’s management, Osimhen urged them to act swiftly.

"I want to continue at Galatasaray,” Osimhen told the club's officials, according to Milliyet, via habersarikirmizi.

"Get my transfer fee from Napoli. They want to sell me to Saudi Arabia. They have plans to sell me for €100 million (approximately N179 billion in Nigerian currency) after July 15."

Following Osimhen’s plea, Galatasaray president Dursun Özbek and Sportif AŞ vice-president Abdullah Kavukcu met at Rams Park to discuss the situation.

With Napoli unwilling to accept Galatasaray's initial €50 million offer, the Istanbul club quickly increased their bids to €60m and then €65m—both rejected by the Serie A side.

Galatasaray are in talks with Napoli to pay Osimhen's release clause in €25 million instalments over three years.

The Nigeria international has agreed a four-year contract with Galatasaray, including an optional final year.

He will earn a net annual salary of €16 million, with an additional €10 million in sponsor bonuses.
