Confirmed: Former Super Eagles striker mutually terminates contract with ES Setif

Through official channels, Algerian Ligue 1 club Entente de Sétif has announced that it has reached an agreement for the mutual termination of the contract with Kingsley Eduwo.

The former Super Eagles B striker is now a free agent and can join a new team even after the close of the summer transfer window.

He arrived at the two-time African champions in January 2025, signing a one-and-a-half-year contract that would have kept him at the club until the end of the 2025-2026 season.

Eduwo had an impressive start to his career at ES Setif, scoring three goals in his first six league matches, but fired blanks in his next seven appearances.

The 29-year-old was not called up for the last two league matches played by Entente de Sétif last term.

The experienced forward previously had stints with renowned Tunisian clubs CS Sfaxien and Esperance Tunis, and has also played for Kuwaiti team Al-Arabi.

On his curriculum vitae, he also lists Gateway United, Sunshine Stars, Lobi Stars,  Al-Najaf and Al Urooba as his previous clubs.

ES Sétif have begun a major overhaul of their first team squad ahead of the new season, parting ways with a total of fourteen players, including Eduwo.
