Free-scoring Nigerian club taught a lesson by Liverpool U21s as Onanuga finds the net in 4-0 win

Bauchi-based Nigerian club One Touch FC were handed a humbling defeat on Thursday afternoon, suffering a 4-0 loss to Liverpool U21s in a friendly at the AXA Training Centre, allnigeriasoccer.com reports.
The Nigerian outfit are currently on a tour of the United Kingdom, where they had enjoyed an unblemished record prior to their trip to Merseyside, recording notable wins over Boreham Wood, Woodford Town, Tayport FC, St Mirren, Hearts and Aberdeen.
Renowned for their attacking prowess, the freescoring side averaged four goals per game in their opening six fixtures, defeating Borehamwood 3-0, Woodford Town 7-0, Tayport FC 3-0, St Mirren 5-0, Hearts 3-0 and Aberdeen 4-0.
One Touch FC, who have been training in the United Kingdom since May 1, 2025, were visited by ex-Liverpool forward Taiwo Awoniyi at Brooke House College in the build-up to their series of friendly matches.
In today's friendly, Liverpool U21s final outing before beginning their Premier League 2 campaign against Leicester City on Monday night, manager Rob Page gave game time to two teenagers of Nigerian descent, midfielder Fola Onanuga and defender Emmanuel Airoboma.
The Reds were two goals up at half-time, with Will Wright and Calvin Ramsay getting on the scoresheet in the 38th and 40th minutes respectively.
Rob Page rang the changes at the interval, making nine substitutions, with Airoboma and Onanuga among those introduced from the bench.
Liverpool extended their advantage three minutes into the second half through Kaide Gordon, before Onanuga capitalised on a rebound to slot home and complete the scoring in the 57th minute.
