Onyedika decides: Super Eagles star makes choice amid Frankfurt, Monaco, Galatasaray interest
Published: August 31, 2025
Eintracht Frankfurt are reportedly exploring a move for Nigerian midfielder Raphael Onyedika but will have to fend off strong interest from Monaco and Galatasaray.
Onyedika, who first joined FC Midtjylland before moving to Club Brugge in the summer of 2022, has established himself as a key figure in the Belgian side’s midfield.
His consistent performances have drawn attention from several top European clubs as the transfer window edges toward its close.
According to transfer expert Sacha Tavolieri, Frankfurt are giving serious consideration to signing the Super Eagles international as they look to strengthen their midfield options ahead of the new season.
In addition to Eintracht Frankfurt, Raphael Onyedika is also on the radar of several European clubs, including Galatasaray and AS Monaco.
However, the Nigerian midfielder is giving priority to a move to the Bundesliga side and hopes an agreement can be reached before the transfer window closes.
Onyedika believes that joining Frankfurt would provide the right platform to further refine his game and accelerate his career growth in preparation for an even bigger move in the future.
The Super Eagles star, who has been named in Nigeria’s 23-man squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against South Africa and Rwanda, will now shift his focus to international duty as the team looks to secure crucial victories to keep their qualification hopes alive.
