Exclusive: DOMINIC CHATTO Eyes Switch To Brondby
Published: July 06, 2012
English Premier League club Swansea City have cooled their interest in the BK Hacken central midfielder Dominic Chatto, allnigeriasoccer.com can report.
Scouts of Swansea City had been monitoring the performances of Chatto in Sweden. Now with the departure of Brendan Rodgers to Liverpool, new gaffer and Danish legend Michael Laudrup is concentrating his summer transfer dealings on offensive reinforcements. Genoa's Jose Manuel Flores - linked heavily with a move to England- could be the only addition to the Swans defense.
''Yeah at the moment, I will say I have not heard anything again from my agent nor the club Swansea regarding a transfer in the summer,'' says Chatto to allnigeriasoccer.com.
However, there are no question marks surrounding the interest shown by Danish giants Brondby. This is not the first time Chatto is being linked with a move to Drengene Fra Vestegnen . He had trained with the club back in 2007, and would welcome a move to Vilfort Park.
''Five years ago when I tested with Brondby, I will say the club is well organized, (and) very popular all over the world. I would say they are one of the biggest teams in Scandinavia. There are very great players who played for Brondby and used the club as a stepping stone to bigger things in their careers.
''It would be nice to play for Brondby because they are a team with ambitions to win trophies, and also play in a European competition each season. I have had experience with Brondby before, so I am quite familiar with the team,'' Chatto said.
If Brondby hope to sign Dominic Chatto, they must act fast. Spanish and French clubs also have the 26-year-old Nigerian on their wishlist in this summer's transfer market.
