Granada Offer Kabiru Akinsola To Apollon Limassol
Published: December 29, 2012
According to laverdad.es, La Liga side Granada have agreed to send the Nigeria youth international Kabiru Akinsola on loan to Cypriot First Division club Apollon Limassol, who are placed sixth in the championship.
It would be recalled that Akinsola was dismissed by Cartagena last weekend for repeatedly violating the club's internal regulations. The dismissal of the former Golden Eaglet cost the Spanish third - tier side 18,000 euros, part of the money paid to Granada for the player to snub an offer from Cyprus in the summer transfer market.
The Nigerian striker had a violent altercation with a teammate few weeks before he departed Cartagena. He was slapped by the Uruguayan Nicolas Raimondi, who was later fined by the management of the club.
Akinsola, an emerging talent, has been recommended to Apollon Limassol and he is expected in Cyprus on Wednesday to validate the transfer.
He is also attracting interest from some unnamed second division clubs in Spain.
