Keshi Names Starting Eleven For Cape Verde Friendly
Published: January 09, 2013
Coach Stephen Keshi has named a strong starting eleven for this evening's friendly against Cape Verde in Portugal.
Hapoel Be'er Sheva's custodian Austin Ejide is preferred in goal ahead of Vincent Enyeama.
Sunshine Stars centre back Godfrey Oboabona gets a final opportunity to impress Keshi in his claim for a starting spot in South Africa. He will partner skipper Joseph Yobo and replaces Warri Wolves Azubuike Egwuekwe. Celtic's versatile defender Efe Ambrose and Elderson Echiejile of Sporting Braga are the full backs.
The midfielders are Mikel Obi, Eddy Onazi and Fegor Ogude. In the attack, there is no place for Dynamo Kiev's Brown Ideye. Victor Moses, Ahmed Musa and Emmanuel Emenike will lead the charge for goals.
