Ekene Obi Urges Teammates To Put Loss Behind Them

Remo Stars defender Ekene Obi has reacted to the loss against Akwa Starlet on Sunday in Uyo and has urged his teammates to show character in their next game.

''At halftime we were on level terms, we said to ourselves if we can’t score a goal in the next 30 minutes, we let the score line remain like that but conceding the goal in the 73rd minute which finally turned out to the winner through an error from our goalkeeper really hurts but that is football,'' Ekene said.
He went further: ''Now we have to remain focused and don’t let that pull us down ahead of the south west derby against Crown FC. We have to show that zeal and wining mentality we have always shown come Sunday.''
