Steaua Bucharest Chase Toto Tamuz
Published: March 30, 2013
Manager of Steaua Bucharest, Mihai Stoica attended the Israeli Premier League match between Hapoel Tel Aviv and
Hapoel Ramat Hasharon on Saturday.
It is no secret that Steaua Bucharest are looking for offensive reinforcements ahead of the re-opening of the transfer market.
The capital club had beamed the searchlight on Molde's Nigerian striker Daniel Chima. But there is now a new candidate to lead the front-line.
Matching press reports in Israel and Romania revealed that Stoica was in the stands to run the rule over the Israel international with Nigerian roots Toto Tamuz, who scored the match winner in the 55th minute.
''I did not come here to follow this or that player, but I got some games to be impressed by the Israeli league in general. Was also in the afternoon's game Bnei Yehuda in front of Kiryat Shmona. I must say I was disappointed with the level,'' Stoica was quoted as saying by one.co.il.
Toto Tamuz will run out of contract at Hapoel Tel Aviv in the summer. He was courted by Valladolid, Vitesse Arnhem, Sivasspor and Bursaspor in the winter transfer market.
