Emmanuel Emenike To Undergo Arthroscopic Surgery, Will Miss Confederations Cup

Spartak Moscow attacker Emmanuel Emenike will undergo arthroscopic surgery in the coming days, the official website of the red and white, spartak.com reported on Monday morning.
The Nigeria international got injured on Sunday while playing against Anzhi and had to be stretchered from the pitch.
According to Spartak's team doctor Michael Vartapetova, medical examination showed that Emenike damaged internal meniscus and partial damage to the internal lateral ligament of the knee.
He will miss Spartak Moscow's remaining fixtures in the Premier League as well as Nigeria's World Cup qualifying games plus the Fifa Confederations Cup.
This season, Emmanuel Emenike made 16 appearances in the championship.
