Stephen Keshi Denies Rift With Victor Moses
Published: June 29, 2014
Stephen Keshi deflected questions on Sunday afternoon when he was quizzed about the bench role of Victor Moses at the ongoing World Cup.
The Chelsea loanee has not stepped onto the pitch since the first game against Iran, which he did not even complete, and it is being reported with certainty by a section of the media that the relationship between the pair is far from cordial.
“Moses is well. We have 23 players and I can select any of them. In the past two games, he has not played, does not mean that there is an issue. All are great and so are here,” the former New Nigeria Bank libero said.
This website previously reported that Victor Moses refused to sit on the bench against Argentina, watching the game from the podium instead.
The official word from the Super Eagles camp and the player himself is that he was nursing an injury but there is more to this.
