Battle Of Pointe - Noire: Bring It On, Says Samson Siasia
Published: July 31, 2015
Dream Team VI coach Samson Siasia was brimming with confidence ahead of his team’s departure to Pointe - Noire for the African Under 23 Championship qualifier against Congo this weekend.
The statistics are in favour of a Nigeria victory, with the Olympic Team winning three out of four away games they have contested this year - against Tunisia, Gabon and Zambia.
“I love big games, and I’m not shy to say so. This is with every sense of modesty. Pointe Noire is another tough session, but I look forward to it,” Samson Siasia said, according to a press release published by thenff.com.
““It will not be easy; nothing good in life comes easy. But we will give it our very best shot and return from Pointe Noire with victory.”
The Nigeria U23s, gold medalists in 1996, have not qualified for two of the last five editions of the Olympic Games.
