Warri Wolves Endangering The Lives Of Players, As Peabody Hotel Seizes Team Bus Over Debt
Published: April 08, 2016
Allnigeriasoccer.com understands that players of Warri Wolves are experiencing severe financial hardship, with the Seasiders yet to pay them their salaries and other entitlements since the start of the 2016 season.
To make matters worse, officials of Peabody Hotels in Udu, where the squad is usually accommodated, have seized the team bus for more than two weeks after they ran out of patience with Warri Wolves over their failure to settle an outstanding liability despite several demand letters.
The players are the ones bearing the brunt, they go to training with Keke Napep tricycles(not the safest form of transport) as most of them do not have money to fuel their private cars since they have not been paid a dime for the past three months.
It is not a coincidence that the Seasiders have been knocked out of the Champions League and are struggling to stay afloat in the NPFL after ten rounds.
