Real Madrid Test Bayern Munich Resolve With 65M Euros Bid For Alaba
Published: June 30, 2016
Real Madrid are still interested in the acquisition of Bayern Munich’s David Alaba though their first attempt to sign the wing-back was rebuffed by the Germans.
Spanish newspaper AS is reporting that the European champs have tested Bayern’s resolve to hold onto the Austria international by making a fresh bid in the region of €65 million.
The first offer made by Real Madrid was for €50 million but CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge clearly stated that the Bundesliga side were not interested in parting with their defender.
Alaba, 24, was part of the Austrian squad that could not qualify for the knockout rounds of the ongoing European Championship, starting all the group games.
Real Madrid are in the market for a left-back and the Austrian-Nigerian is at the top of their wishlist.
