USA U17 Star Of Nigerian Descent Offered Homegrown Deal By Toronto FC

Major League Soccer playoffs runners-up Toronto FC are hoping to tie down United States U17 international Ayo Akinola to a new deal, according to reports.
The Reds are in talks with Akinola regarding penning a homegrown deal, and the talented striker is currently studying the offer.
Born in Detroit before moving to Canada, the 16-year-old netted his first goal for USA U17s against Brazil last March and went on to score more than sixteen goals for the national team in 2016.
Ayo Akinola made ten appearances for Toronto II in the United Soccer League last term, and bagged a brace against Harrisburg City on game week 16.
