Liverpool Boss Hails The Performance Of Sheyi Ojo Against Plymouth Argyle
Published: January 19, 2017
Liverpool manager Jürgen Klopp was satisfied with the performance of Sheyi Ojo in his side’s FA Cup third-round replay with Plymouth Argyle on Wednesday night.
The England youth-teamer dazzled for the Reds following his introduction in the 76th minute, and Klopp admitted that many people thought he would have started the game at Home Park.
“I liked, for example, the reaction of Ojo tonight. Everybody, maybe, with Ojo involved they expected he would have played as one of the [starters] if he [was involved in] this game tonight as one of the young players, but I was not too happy with one or two things, ” Klopp told liverpoolfc.com.
“Today, I thought he made a big difference when he came on, with his speed and there was sharpness involved.
“He’s a wonderful player but, without sharpness, it’s nothing. ”
Another Nigerian teenager Ovie Ejaria started and completed the game against Plymouth Argyle, his seventh appearance in a Liverpool shirt this season.
