Motherwell ahead of Newcastle, Lyon in race for West Brom's Glasgow-born Nigerian striker
Published: July 05, 2025
Scottish Premiership outfit Motherwell are frontrunners to land West Brom's Glasgow-born Nigerian striker Eseosa Sule, according to reports from the Daily Record.
Having made a move from Celtic to West Brom in January 2023, Eseosa Sule is set for a season-long loan deal back to Scotland.
Motherwell have reportedly beaten the likes of Lyon and Newcastle United to secure a deal for the highly rated youngster.
West Brom are keen for him to get regular minutes under his belt in the forthcoming season and are open to letting him pursue a move away from Fir Park after recently signing a deal to keep him with the Baggies until June 2027.
Still only 19 years old, the West Brom U21 striker is eligible to play for Nigeria and Scotland and is yet to make an appearance for either country at any level.
Eseosa made great strides for the West Brom reserves last season.
He finished the campaign strongly, scoring 14 goals and providing four assists across all youth competitions.
The forward made his first team debut with an 18-minute cameo against Fleetwood Town in the Carabao Cup last August.
