'I'm not aware' – Fabrizio Romano rules out Man Utd move for Osimhen, names three suitors
Published: July 05, 2025
Renowned Italian transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has revealed that Juventus recently contacted Napoli to explore the possibility of signing Victor Osimhen, amid growing interest from Al-Hilal and Galatasaray.
Following a standout season on loan in Turkey, Osimhen has attracted attention from several clubs, fueled by his strained relationship with Napoli.
Despite his strong performances during a loan spell in Istanbul, Victor Osimhen has fallen out of favour with new Napoli manager Antonio Conte, who is reportedly targeting Liverpool striker Darwin Núñez as a priority signing.
This has cast doubt over Osimhen’s future at the club, with ongoing speculation linking the Nigerian forward to potential moves to Al Hilal, Galatasaray, Manchester United, and Juventus.
Speaking on his YouTube channel, Fabrizio Romano dismissed reports of talks with Manchester United, clarifying that Al-Hilal and Galatasaray are the two clubs actively pursuing a deal for Victor Osimhen.
"At the moment still no breakthrough in this story, and nothing will happen in the upcoming hours," Romano said.
"I keep receiving many questions from Manchester United fans, but at the moment, I am not aware of concrete negotiations between Manchester United and Napoli for Victor Osimhen.
"Remember that the player has a release clause of 75 million euros. At the moment, Al-Hilal from Saudi and Galatasaray, where the player was on loan last season, keep working on a deal to get Victor Osimhen.
"Galatasaray are trying, obviously with a different financial proposal compared to the one from Al-Hilal. So both clubs are in conversations to sign Victor Osimhen."
Adding a new twist to the saga, Romano revealed that Juventus have entered the frame by making direct contact with Napoli and Osimhen’s representatives.
He added: "Let's see what's going to happen there because Juventus called in the recent weeks for Osimhen, but at the moment Galatasaray and Al-Hilal are pushing to make the deal happen."
With the summer transfer window heating up, Osimhen is expected to assess his options carefully. The striker is believed to favour staying in Europe, where he has built a reputation as one of the top forwards in the game.
