Published: March 12, 2017
French Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain and Premier League strugglers Middlesbrough F.C sent scouts to Spain to monitor the La Liga game between Valencia and Sporting Gijon.
Futboldesdefrancia.com has suggested that the Parisians were at the Estadio Mestalla to run the rule over Valencia left back José Gayá, while Boro came to observe a Sporting Gijon player.
Nigeria international Elderson Echiejile had only 17 minutes to show off after he replaced Burgui in the second half.
He arrived the Rojiblancos from Monaco in the January transfer window and will remain there until the end of this season.
His contract with the Principality side runs out on June 30, 2018.
