Exciting Talent Samuel Kalu Scores Again As Gent Book Play-Off 1 Ticket

                    Gent recovered from their shock loss to Racing Genk in the Europa League after thrashing Osaguona Ighodaro’s KV Mechelen 3-0 in the Belgian First Division A on Sunday afternoon.
As for team news, Super Eagles defender William Troost-Ekong returned to the starting XI after missing the last six games in the league, and he was joined in the line-up by Moses Simon, Anderson Esiti and the exciting talent Samuel Kalu.
The three points were all but won in the first half, with Jeremy Perbet, who was set up by Simon, and Yuya Kubo hitting target in the 32nd and 45th minute respectively.
New kid on the block Kalu made it three just after half-time, his third goal in his last four matches across all competitions.
Following the win, Gent finished the regular season with 50 points and have booked one of the six tickets for the Play - Off 1.
Former Enugu Rangers star Ighodaro came off the bench for KV Mechelen in the 66th minute, while Rabiu Ibrahim was introduced with 14 minutes remaining.
