Swansea Join Newcastle In Race For Chelsea's Nigerian Goal Poacher Extraordinaire
Published: June 19, 2017
Swansea City have joined the scramble for the signature of prolific English-born Nigerian striker Tammy Abraham, according to reports.
The Swans chairman Huw Jenkins is an admirer of the England U21 international, and is confident of wrapping up a deal because of Tammy's relationship with manager Paul Clement.
He told BBC Wales : ''Tammy does not have Premier League experience, but we are interested.
"Paul knows him from Chelsea. If you look at the options which have been publicised, (they are) Brighton, Newcastle and ourselves, so it is left to Tammy and his family to decide where he wants to go next.''
Abraham, 19, has also been linked with moves to Vitesse Arnhem, Hull City and Galatasaray this summer.
He is currently away on international duty with the Young Lions at the European U21 Championship in Poland.
