Usman Mohammed Is Still In Spain Awaiting Feedback From Barcelona After Trials
Published: June 26, 2017
Dream Team VI star Usman Mohammed has decided to remain in Spain as he is hoping to bag a contract with La Liga powerhouse Barcelona following the conclusion of his trials.
Apart from impressing during his audition, representatives of the central midfielder have close links with the Azulgranas.
Haruna Babangida, the younger brother of former Nigeria international Tijani Babangida who advises Usman, was a former teammate of current Barcelona B coach Gerard López.
''Usman Mohammed was on trials at Barcelona B but he stopped training just before the start of the playoffs,'' a Barcelona insider told allnigeriasoccer.com.
''He did well during the trials, and is hoping to sign. He is still in Spain with Tijani Babangida's brother.''
The 23-year-old lists Ranchers Bees, Taraba United and União Madeira among his former clubs.
