Done Deals: Three Nigerian Midfielders Sign New Contracts At Arsenal

According to the official website of Arsenal, their new intake of first-year scholars trained at London Colney for the very first time on Wednesday, June 28.
Though the identities of the new scholars have not yet been disclosed by the Emirates Stadium outfit, Arsenal youth-team guru Jeorge Bird has revealed that three players of Nigerian descent were among the young stars offered scholarship deals.
The three players that signed scholarship terms include James Olayinka, Xavier Amaechi and Folarin Balogun.
Olayinka, Amaechi and Balogun, who are listed as midfielders, made their debuts for Arsenal U18s during the 2016-17 campaign.
Balogun, who celebrates his 16th birthday on July 3, shone for Arsenal in the Future Cup, scoring against Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich.
Xavier Amaechi has caps for England at U15 and U16 level and is expected to sign a professional deal next year.
