Will Emenalo Sanction Departure Of Chelsea Young Star Ake To Bournemouth For 20 Million Pounds?
Published: June 29, 2017
Netherlands international Nathan Ake is being linked with a transfer to Bournemouth.
The central defender, who was concerned about his lack of first team opportunities, was due to hold showdown talks with The Blues technical director Michael Emenalo over his future at Stamford Bridge in the off season.
Ake spent the first half of last season on loan at Bournemouth before he was recalled from his season-long loan spell in the January transfer window.
The Telegraph is reporting that The Cherries are on the brink of completing the £20 million club record signing of Ake, and it remains to be seen if Emenalo will sanction the defender's departure, having rejected a similar approach in the winter transfer market.
Including his youth career, he had stops at VV Wilhelmus, ADO Den Haag and Feyenoord before making the move to Chelsea in 2011.
The 22-year-old has made 17 appearances for the first team of Chelsea.
