Official: Talented Nigerian Defender Pens Two-Year Deal With Southampton

English-born Nigerian wonderkid Oludare Olufunwa has formally signed a professional scholarship with Southampton, writes the official website of the English Premier League side.
Nine talented youngsters have penned two-year contracts with the St. Mary's Stadium outfit, including Olufunwa.
Born 29 July, 2001, the central defender did not make a competitive appearance for Southampton U18 squad during the 2016-17 season, but was an important member of the U16 squad.
He traveled with the Southampton U16 squad for the prestigious Montaigu Tournament in April 2017.
Oludare Olufunwa will join Jonathan Afolabi and Michael Obafemi in Southampton U18 squad in the new season.
