Tottenham World Cup Winning Midfielder Shows Up On First Day Of Pre-Season
Published: July 03, 2017
Josh Onomah has reported back to back to Hotspur Way for the start of pre-season training at Tottenham Hotspur.
The central midfielder returned on time even though he could have chosen to extend his vacation after international duty with the England U20 squad this summer.
A loan move had been mooted earlier for Onomah, with Brighton, Huddersfield and Celtic credited with an interest, but manager Mauricio Pochettino will give him a chance to impress during the pre-season.
The 20-year-old has recorded 32 appearances for Spurs first team since he debuted two and a half years ago, and has represented the London club in the Champions League, Europa League, Premier League, FA Cup and League Cup.
Spurs have lined up friendlies againstĀ Paris Saint Germain, Roma and Manchester City this month.
