Chelsea Planning To Hijack Another Manchester United Target After Missing Out On Lukaku
Published: August 05, 2017
Premier League champions Chelsea have not yet finished their transfer business and are hoping to sign Ivory Coast star Serge Aurier from Paris Saint-Germain.
In order to do so, the Blues must see off competition from Manchester United, Juventus and Inter Milan.
Manchester United were reportedly in pole position to sign Aurier but a deal is being held up because he was arrested in France last September and a judgement is scheduled for next week.
Chelsea manager Antonio Conte is still in the market for a right back after missing out on the signature of Kyle Walker and Danilo to Manchester City.
Chelsea have contacted Aurier over a deal and are ready to meet the 30 million euros asking price for the defender.
The 24-year-old has fallen down the pecking order of right backs at PSG following the signing of former Barcelona and Juventus star Daniel Alves.
