Chelsea & Man Utd Engage In Transfer Battle Once Again As Clubs Target Tottenham Star
Published: August 09, 2017
Premier League champions Chelsea and Manchester United will do battle once more in the transfer market, this time with Tottenham Hotspur star Danny Rose in the spotlight.
The Sun says Antonio Conte is targeting the Spurs left back as it looks increasingly unlikely they will be able to sign Alex Sandro from Juventus.
Chelsea have been long-term admirers of Danny Rose and their bid for him two years ago was rejected by Tottenham Hotspur.
The Blues are in the market for a wing-back to provide competition and back up for Marcos Alonso and Victor Moses, and Conte wants the Board to approve the transfer.
The Stamford Bridge outfit are confident that Tottenham will agree to do business if they receive a £40 million bid for Rose.
