Inter Milan Star Prefers Move To Manchester United Ahead Of Chelsea, Barcelona
Published: August 16, 2017
Inter Milan winger Ivan Perisic will turn down a move to Chelsea and Barcelona in favour of a switch to Manchester United.
According to Italian website Calciomercato, the Croatia international's agent will fly to Milan today to hold showdown talks with Inter Milan and will inform The Nerazzurri higher-ups that his client either wants a new contract or to sign for Manchester United.
Jose Mourinho has brought in Nemanja Matić, Romelu Lukaku and Victor Lindelöf this summer, and would like to make one more signing before the window closes, with his priority being a winger.
Chelsea have been left frustrated in their pursuit of Antonio Candreva and believe Perisic could be a better reinforcement.
The 28-year-old joined Inter Milan from Wolfsburg in the summer of 2015 for less than 20 million euros, and the Serie A club will make a tidy profit if they receive €55 million (N23.4 billion) from a Premier League team.
