Chinedu Obasi In Contract Stalemate With AIK Fotboll
Published: November 01, 2017
Chinedu Obasi is preparing to bid farewell to Swedish Allsvenskan side AIK Fotboll.
The Super Eagles striker penned a short-term contract until the end of the season with AIK in July 2017, following his departure from Chinese League One outfit Shenzhen.
According to Swedish website, Fotbolldirekt.se, Obasi is not satisfied with the wages he is being offered by AIK to prolong his stay beyond November 2017, and might depart the club for a new adventure in the January transfer window.
His agent left Sweden without the parties agreeing and negotiations are yet to be completed.
Despite Obasi's contract situation, he has remained professional and tallied his fourth goal in eight matches against IFK Göteborg on Monday.
The 31-year-old lists Lyn Oslo, Hoffenheim and Schalke 04 among his former clubs.
