The Real Reason Why Etebo Was Omitted From Feirense Squad Vs Moreirense
Published: January 21, 2018
For only the first time this season, Oghenekaro Etebo was not named in the Feirense match day squad against Moreirense in the Primeira Liga on Sunday evening.
The Nigeria international was subjected to an automatic one-game suspension after receiving his fifth caution of the season last weekend against Tondela.
Earlier, Etebo had picked up yellow cards in matches against Chaves, Sporting Braga, Vit. Guimarães and Vitória Setúbal.
In his first full season in Portugal, he was shown a yellow card only once in the Primeira Liga.
Portuguese powerhouse Porto, Rennes and Partizan Belgrade have been credited with an interest in Etebo, who is valued in the region of ten million euros by Feirense .
For the fourteenth straight game in the league, ex-Nigeria U17 star Dele Alampasu failed to make Feirense's 18-man match day squad.
