Alex Iwobi Rated Among Arsenal's 'Best Players' Vs Tottenham Hotspur
Published: February 10, 2018
Alex Iwobi was rated among the 'best players' on parade for Arsenal in their 1-0 loss to Tottenham Hotspur at Wembley on Saturday afternoon despite spending 25 minutes on the pitch after coming off the bench in the second half.
The highlight of the Nigeria international's performance was when he threaded a wonderful pass through for Alexandre Lacazette but the Frenchman failed to hit the target, poking his shot wide in stoppage time.
In their review of the game, Football.London awarded Iwobi five out of ten marks, and only Mohamed Elneny and Jack Wilshere with six scored higher than the Super Eagles star.
''Just like Lacazette, he never looked like influencing things after coming on. Couldn't get into the game down the right,'' wrote Charles Watts.
Iwobi made one key pass in the North London derby, and had a passing accuracy of 85.7 percent.
The Hale End Academy product did not make any tackle, interception and clearance, and committed one foul.
He has now recorded 17 appearances in the English top tier this term.
