Super Eagles winger Alex Iwobi is poised to become the second Nigerian player to hit one hundred appearances for Arsenal if they qualify for the final of the 2018 Europa League.
Nigeria hero Nwankwo Kanu is the first Nigerian footballer to play 100 games for the Gunners which he achieved during the 2000-2001 season when Iwobi was five years old.
To date, the Hale End Academy product has worn an Arsenal shirt in competitive fixtures 84 times, and needs to play 16 more games to reach the 100 mark.
With Arsenal already out of the Emirates FA Cup, the best case scenario is that they have 21 more games to play in all competitions before the end of the season if they qualify for the final of the Europa League.
In total, Iwobi has played 56 games for Arsenal in the Premier League, 9 each in the Champions League and FA Cup, 7 in the League Cup, 2 in the Europa League and has participated in one Community Shield.
The Arsenal number seventeen has netted eight goals for the first-team since his debut against Sheffield Wednesday in October 2015.
