Arsenal Starlet Of Nigerian Descent Scores Maiden Goal For England U17s Vs Netherlands

In their third and final match in the Torneio Internacional Algarve U17, world champions at U17 level England beat the Netherlands 2-0 on Tuesday afternoon, with Arsenal winger Xavier Amaechi netting his maiden goal for the Young Lions.
Goalkeeper Arthur Okonkwo who conceded four goals in the Young Lions opener was an unused substitute but there were starts for Arsenal teammates Xavier Amaechi and Bukayo Saka, and West Ham defender Ajibola Alese.
Chelsea midfielder Faustino Anjorin was recalled by the club to enable him feature in Tuesday's FA Youth Cup clash against Tottenham Hotspur, so was not on parade at Estádio Municipal de Almancil.
England led 1-0 at the break courtesy of a goal from Amaechi, who fired home the rebound after the ball hit the post near the Dutch goalkeeper Daan Reiziger.
Two minutes into the second half, Steve Cooper's team doubled their advantage through Arsenal striker Tyreece John-Jules.
England participated in the Torneio Internacional Algarve U17 as part of their preparations for the UEFA European U17 Championship Finals which will hold in England 4–20 May 2018
