Ex-Flying Eagles Star Gero Warns Arsenal: Today Is Time To Make History

Former Nigeria U20 international Alhaji Gero believes his team Ostersunds FK can cause an upset in Thursday's round of 32 Europa League clash against Arsenal at Jämtkraft Arena.

If Ostersunds FK's home form in the Europa League is used as a yardstick, then they should not be written off even before stepping out onto the pitch against their English opponents.

Including the qualifying rounds of the competition, Ostersunds FK racked up five wins against Galatasaray, Fola Esch, PAOK, Hertha BSC and Zorya and Gero played a part in all the matches except the 2-0 win over the Greek opponents.

La Liga club Athletic Bilbao were the only team to escape defeat and they had to rely on an 89th minute goal from Iñaki Williams before sharing the spoils with Ostersunds FK.

Super Eagles winger Alex Iwobi is in line to make his third appearance in the Europa League against Gero and his team.
