Golden Eaglets Last Batch Finally Depart Republic of Niger, Stopover In Lome
Allnigeriasoccer.com understands that the last batch of the victorious Golden Eaglets players and officials who were left behind in Republic of Nigeria following the conclusion of the WAFU-UFOA Zone B qualifiers for the Africa U17 Cup of Nations have left the country.

An ASKY Airlines flight took off from Niamey on Thursday morning and had a stopover at the Togolese capital Lome enroute to the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja.

There were not enough seats on the flight that took the first batch of players and officials, including coach Manu Garba, to Nigeria on Tuesday.

This past weekend, the Golden Eaglets beat the most successful team in Africa U17 Cup of Nations history, Ghana, to qualify for next year's tournament in Tanzania.

Tanzania, Morocco, Senegal, Guinea, Cameroon, Uganda and Angola have also qualified for the final tournament, and the top four teams will represent Africa at the 2019 FIFA U17 World Cup.

The next FIFA U17 World Cup will be hosted by Peru between 5 and 27 October 2019.
