Published: July 02, 2025
Swiss Super League side FC Lausanne-Sport have announced the signing of tri-national attacker Nathan Butler-Oyedeji following his departure from Premier League side Arsenal.
Eligible for Nigeria, England and Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Butler-Oyedeji was on the books of Arsenal for fourteen years before his contract ran out on June 30, 2025.
The 22-year-old has put pen to paper on a three-year contract with FC Lausanne-Sport, valid until June 30, 2028.
During his time at Arsenal, he appeared in two matches for the first team, including debuts in the Champions League and Premier League against Dinamo Zagreb and Ipswich Town respectively.
He gained valuable first-team experience during loan spells at Accrington Stanley and Cheltenham Town, making a combined 25 appearances across both clubs.
A dynamic and skillful winger known for his ability to beat defenders, Butler-Oyedeji is set to bolster FC Lausanne-Sport’s attack with his energy, versatility and exciting potential.
The brand new signing will wear the number 11 shirt and is expected to take part in his first training session with the squad on Thursday.
Retired Nigeria international Taye Taiwo and Super Eagles winger Samuel Kalu have both represented FC Lausanne-Sport in the past.
