Done deal: Midfielder who looks up to Super Eagles star Onyedika joins FC Midtjylland
Published: July 02, 2025
Danish Superliga outfit FC Midtjylland have confirmed the signing of talented Nigerian midfielder Lucky Clement from FC Ebedei in Nigeria.
Midtjylland have a history of recruiting midfielders from their Nigerian partner club FC Ebedei, with several going on to represent the Super Eagles, including Femi Ajilore, Izunna Uzochukwu, Frank Onyeka and Raphael Onyedika.
Speaking after putting pen to paper, Clement told the official website of the Wolves: "It's huge for me to come to FC Midtjylland. I first heard about the club a very long time ago, and now I've signed a contract with them.
"I am an aggressive and duelling player with good speed. At the same time, I have some strengths in the main game."
Clement will join the FC Midtjylland U19 team, and he hopes to one day break into the first team just as his role model Raphael Onyedika did.
He continued: "It is a great motivation that other Nigerian players have had their breakthrough here.
"I look up to a player like Raphael Onyedika. He is also a number 6, and he does everything I want on the field. If they can do it, so can I.
"But for now, it is about keeping your nose in the groove and working hard."
Lucky Clement stands out for his aggressiveness and ability to provide cover in his defensive midfield position.
He stands out for his hard work, toughness, grit and a good passing ability, which all contribute to the promise of his potential recognised by FC Midtjylland.
