Published: October 12, 20182007 FIFA U17 World Cup Golden Boot winner, Macauley Chrisantus, is backing the Super Eagles to get the job done by picking up a win when they face Libya in an Africa Cup of Nations qualifier on Saturday.
The HJK Helsinki frontman says the current Nigeria team is filled with young players who are hungry to succeed.
Indeed, of the twenty-four players called up by Rohr for the qualifiers against the North African team, eleven are classed as U23 players, with seven of these exciting talents on the books of English Premier League clubs.
''The Super Eagles squad have quality players, I am certain they will beat Libya on Saturday,'' says Chrisantus to allnigeriasoccer.com.
''There are a lot of young players there hungry for success and quality players that can win a match. I wish them well.''
Rohr named eight attack-minded players in the squad to face the Mediterranean Knights, including Odion Ighalo, Ahmed Musa, Kelechi Iheanacho, Isaac Success and Henry Onyekuru.
Chrisantus was put on the spot and asked which of the aforementioned strikers should lead the line against Libya.
He said : ''They have quality strikers, it's the coach that will make the final decision. It depends on his tactics for the game.
''Rohr will select the top striker based on current form and style of play, the Libyans play in a different way. Anybody can start.''
Ahmed Musa, Chidozie Awaziem and Odion Ighalo were the scorers in Nigeria's 3-0 rout of Seychelles last month.
