Published: October 13, 2018
Former Nigeria international and 1997 African Footballer of the Year Victor Nosa Ikpeba on Saturday expressed belief that the Super Eagles will overcome the threat of Libya in today's 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier at the Akwa Ibom International Stadium, Uyo.
Ikpeba who a member of the 1994 Eagles that won the African title in Tunisia spoke on SuperSport ahead of the 4pm kick off game.
"I am not a big fan of stats, but we have the Ingredients to beat the Libyans.
"The tactics that Gernot Rhor want to utilise don't matter. I love the mindset of the players and team spirit during their training on Thursday.
"We should not underrate them but the attitude I saw gives me the confidence that our boys can do it," Ikpeba enthused.
The Mediterranean Knights are atop the Group E of the AFCON qualification with four points while the Eagles third in the group have three points.
