Rohr's Verdict On Kalu Is In : Bordeaux Winger Work In Progress, Urges Chelsea's Moses To Rescind Decision
Published: October 14, 2018Super Eagles manager Gernot Rohr has admitted that Bordeaux number ten Samuel Kalu is still a work in progress, noting that the winger has not yet acclimatized to his new teammates in the national team.
The German football tactician had to search for a new right winger after the most important player in the Super Eagles prior to the 2018 World Cup,Victor Moses, called time on his international career in August.
As everyone might have noticed, Kalu was desperate to score against the Libyans, perhaps to the detriment of his teammates, and his perseverance eventually paid off when he scored a brilliant curler on 90 minutes.
Delivering his verdict on the performance of Samuel Kalu, Rohr said : ''Kalu did very well but sometimes he had a problem of integrating well into the team which is normal coming into a new team.
''He is playing better and better. He did very well. Playing in Nigeria for the first time in an important match like this he did well. I saw him play for Bordeaux and he’s was very good.
''There’s little more work for him to do in replacing Victor Moses. The door is still open for him to come back . If he’s fit, why not. Victor loves his fatherland that I know.''

Kalu, who has 110 senior games to his name since turning professional, was in action for the entirety of the match on his home debut for the Super Eagles.
