Everton Winger Who Has Pledged Future To Nigeria Scores Another Hat-Trick Vs Newcastle
Published: October 21, 2018
Everton winger Korede Adedoyin improved on his goalscoring achievements after scoring another hat-trick in the Toffees 7-1 annihilation of Newcastle United in the U18 Premier League on Saturday.
Newcastle United appear to be his favorite opponents as he scored four goals against The Magpies in a 7-0 win back in March 2018.
Adedoyin broke the deadlock after only five minutes, curling a left-footed shot into the far corner of the net, then Simms scored twice to give the Toffees a 3-0 lead at the end of the first half.
One minute after the interval, the Nigerian-born starlet increased the lead with an identical finish to his opener.
The 17-year-old closed the scoring when he fired an unstoppable shot past goalkeeper Huuhtanen from just outside the box in the 83rd minute.
Since debuting for Everton U18s in January 2017, Adedoyin has scored against nine different teams in the league : Middlesbrough, West Brom, Wolves, Stoke City, Derby County, Manchester United, Ipswich Town, Manchester City and Blackburn Rovers.
Although Adedoyin is eligible to turn out for England, having lived in the United Kingdom since 2005, he has pledged his international future to Nigeria.
He has cited Abidjan-born Crystal Palace star Wilfried Zaha as his role model.
