Super Eagles Rise Four Spots In Latest FIFA Rankings, Third In Africa
Football governing body, Fifa, on Thursday, October 25 published its latest rankings of National Teams.

Compared to their position the previous month, the Super Eagles rose four positions to number 44, while they are third in the continental ranking behind Tunisia and Senegal.

The Super Eagles' two victories against the Mediterranean Knights in the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers led to a rise in their ranking.

Congo Democratic Republic and Morocco complete the top five teams in Africa in that order.

South Africa, Libya and Seychelles, Nigeria's opponents in Group E of the 2019 African Nations Cup qualifiers, are in the 73rd, 105th and 188th positions respectively.

The top five countries in the rankings are : Belgium, France, Brazil, Croatia and England.

The next FIFA/Coca-Cola World Ranking will be published on 29 November 2018.
