Official : Africa Cup of Nations Vet Taiwo Extends RoPS Contract By One Season
Published: October 25, 2018Nigeria international Taye Taiwo has extended his contract with Finnish Veikkausliiga side Rovaniemen Palloseura by one season.
The new deal announced on Wednesday, October 24 will keep Taye Taiwo at RoPS until November 2019.
Commenting on the new deal, Taiwo told the club's official website : ''RoPS wants to play good football, and it was important to me.
''We all work together. The whole team knows they trust me. That, of course, motivates and puts you into working double more.''

Taye Taiwo began his career in Europe with Ligue 1 side Marseille, where he spent six years, before spells at AC Milan, Queens Park Rangers, Dynamo Kiev, Bursaspor, HJK Helsinki, Lausanne and AFC Eskilstuna.
The free kick expert was a member of the Super Eagles squads to the 2006, 2008 and 2010 Africa Cup of Nations.
This season, Taiwo has played 32 games in the Finnish topflight, scoring one goal and setting up five goals.
