The Group A clash between FC Zuerich and Bayer Leverkusen at Stadion Letzigrund ended in a 3-2 win for the Swiss side and they have to thank Nigeria international Stephen Odey for netting the winner in the 78th minute.

Jimmy Briand on 26 minutes put the visitors ahead, Artem Dzyuba leveled the tie in the 40th minute before Daler Kuzyaev grabbed the winner with five minutes left.

Remaining in Group C, Peter Olayinka watched proceedings from the bench as Slavia Prague recorded a 1-0 win over FC Copenhagen at Telia Parken (København) thanks to Jan Matousek's winner just after the intermission.

Over to the Estadio Jose Alvalade, Danny Welbeck's 78th minute strike was enough for Arsenal to pick up their third straight win and eleventh in all competitions against Sporting CP. Alex Iwobi subbed in after 86 minutes.

In Group G, Rangers were held to a goalless draw by Spartak Moscow at Ibrox. Liverpool loanee Ovie Ejaria played the entirety of the game for the Scottish club, strikers Umar Sadiq and Dapo Mebude were not in the 18.

Goals from Pablo Fornals, Karl Toko Ekambi, Mateo Barac (OG), Daniel Raba and Gerard Moreno saw Villarreal record a comprehensive 5-0 win over Rapid Vienna at Estadio de la Cerámica (Villarreal).

Former Flying Eagles winger Samuel Chukwueze entered the fray for Villarreal in the 65th minute and provided the assist for his team's fifth goal in the 85th minute.

Uche Agbo was substituted at half-time in Standard Liege's 2-1 win against Krasnodar in a Group J tie at Stade Maurice Dufrasne .

Ari's 39th minute goal was cancelled out by Standard Liege's Renaud Emond two minutes after the restart, then Konstantinos Laifis netted the winning goal in the 90th minute.

Deji-Ousman Beyreuther was not in Eintracht Frankfurt's squad vs Apollon Limassol at Commerzbank-Arena. The Germans won 2-0.

In Group I, Innocent Bonke hopped off the bench in the 83rd minute as Malmo drew 1-1 with Sarpsborg 08 in Norway. Usman Mohammed was not involved for Sarpsborg 08.

England young star Ruben Loftus-Cheek stole all the headlines with a hat-trick for Chelsea in their 3-1 win against BATE at Stamford Bridge.

Former Super Eagles winger Victor Moses came off the bench in the 57th minute as replacement for Willian.

Chuba Akpom was not in the PAOK side beaten 2-0 at home by Vidi in the other group match in Group L.
