Samuel Kalu put himself in the shop window as French Ligue 1 outfit Bordeaux were held to a 1-1 draw by Zenit St. Petersburg on match day four in the UEFA Europa League on Thursday night.

According to Scouts In Attendance, Tottenham Hotspur, who are coached by Argentinian Mauricio Pochettino, sent one of their scouts to watch the game held at Stade Matmut-Atlantique.

Zenit's Argentinian stars Emmanuel Mammana, Leandro Paredes and Sebastian Driussi were named in the starting eleven and a fourth, Kranevitter was an unused substitute.

Having missed Bordeaux' last league match due to a throat related ailment, Kalu returned to the starting line-up and went  the distance against the Russian opponents.

The best individual performance during the game per Whoscored.com was from the Nigeria international who had a 7.58 rating.

Kalu finished the match with four shots of which two were on target, made a game-high four key passes and had a team-high four dribbles.

The right winger has been named in the latest Nigeria squad and will win his fourth consecutive competitive cap if he features against South Africa next Saturday in Soccer City.
