Official: Chelsea Confirm Teenage Nigerian Midfielder Has Inked New Deal
Premier League side Chelsea have now confirmed that Nigerian midfielder Faustino Anjorin inked a professional contract with the club, shortly after celebrating his seventeenth birthday.

An England youth international, Anjorin sparkled as the young Blues thrashed Swedish opponents Elfsborg 6-0 in the second round of the UEFA Youth League on Wednesday, November 28.

In a 3-5-2 formation, manager Joe Edwards deployed Anjorin and Tariq Uwakwe in midfield and the pair had a hand in four of the six goals scored by Chelsea.

In their match report, Chelsea stated on their official website : ''The wing-back duo of Castillo and Tariq Lamptey continued on the flanks, while Uwakwe and Tino Anjorin came into midfield.

''The latter along with striker George Nunn, who started on the bench, had signed his first professional contract at the club days earlier.''

Anjorin signed a scholarship deal with Chelsea in July 2018 along with Ola Aina's sibling Jordan who turns 17 on December 10, 2018.
