Official : Chievo's Joel Obi Seals Loan Transfer To Turkish Club Alanyaspor

Nigeria international Joel Obi has joined Turkish Super Lig club Alanyaspor on loan for the remainder of the season, Chievo Verona have reported on their official website.

Alanyaspor can activate a purchase clause inserted into the deal at the end of the 2018-2019 campaign.

Obi arrived in Chievo Verona in the summer of 2018 and has recorded 11 appearances in total for the club, scoring one goal against Bologna in November.

The 27-year-old previously turned out for Inter Milan, Parma and Torino, and this is the first time in his professional career that he has joined a non-Italian team.

He was a member of the Super Eagles squad to the 2018 World Cup but did not see action during the tournament.

Stephen Sunday, Kenneth Omeruo and Akeem Latifu previously wore the jersey of Alanyaspor.

Alanyaspor sit tenth in the Turkish Super Lig standings with 24 points from nineteen matches.
