Confirmed : Deportivo de La Coruna Loan Francis Uzoho To Anorthosis Famagusta
Spanish Segunda División side Deportivo de La Coruña confirmed few hours to the close of the January transfer window that Nigeria goalkeeper Francis Uzoho has been recalled from his loan spell at Elche.

If both clubs had honored the initial agreement signed last summer, the Nigeria international would have remained at Elche until June 30, 2019.

With Elche signing édgar Badía from Reus around four weeks ago, Uzoho had to move onto pastures new as he became surplus to requirements.

The 20-year-old will complete the remainder of the 2018-19 season on loan at Cypriot side, Anorthosis Famagusta FC.

Uzoho, who was in goal for the Super Eagles at the 2018 World Cup, departs Elche after playing eight games in all competitions, posting three shutouts against Malaga, Real Zaragoza and Sporting Gijon.

Anorthosis Famagusta pay the wages of Nigerian midfielder Nosa Igiebor.
