Confirmed : Akeem Latifu Agrees Two-Year Deal With Eliteserien New Boys Mjøndalen IF
Published: February 04, 2019Out-of-favour Nigeria international Akeem Latifu on Sunday agreed a two-year contract with Eliteserien newcomers Mjøndalen IF, informs the club on their official website.
The experienced right back, a member of the Flying Eagles squad to the 2007 Fifa U20 World Cup, was offered a contract after lasting 75 minutes on the pitch in a test game against Valerenga.
''He is a good and playful back that we know well. He has Eliteserien experience and played a good season for Sogndal last year,'' sports director Kenneth Karlsen said.
''Akeem believes we will be a great addition to us and we look forward to seeing him more in the future.''
On Monday, Latifu and his new teammates will fly out to Spain for a training camp ahead of the new season.
The 29-year-old has featured for Stromsgodset, Hodd, Aalesund, Sogndal, PFK Stal, Alanyaspor and Honved in the past.
